Manufacturing/ Process Engineer

We have a new opportunity for an experienced Process Engineer.

Job Summary
In this position, you will be responsible for performing activities related to the design, implementation, maintenance, and improvement of the manufacturing processes required to support new and existing products.

Essential Functions

1. Define and document the facilities, equipment, and tooling requirements for all new and existing products.
2. Design and develop new methods and processes to improve productivity by improving integration of people, materials, and equipment.
3. Develop processes and procedures for recording and interpreting test and evaluation results.
4. Develop cost estimates, projections and budgets for implementation of new and revised methods and processes
5. Develop and design testing activities for the evaluation of tools, machinery, and equipment.
6. Conduct ongoing analyses of products and processes to identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve quality, and improve efficiency.
7. Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new and enhanced products by developing goals and timetables, training manufacturing personnel, and evaluating results.
8. Serve as primary technical resource for assigned manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling.
9. Research solutions to technical problems and recommend cost effective resolution approaches.
10. Participate in large engineering projects by completing multiple tasks.
11. Provide technical direction to less experienced personnel.

Required Skills and Knowledge

1. Advanced mathematical skills, including the use of logarithms and quadratic equations.
2. Advanced computer skills, including the use of CAD software.
3. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing methods and processes, including flow, layout, and assembly and production equipment.
4. Thorough knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques and manufacturing quality tools.
5. Thorough knowledge of plastics design and molding processes.
6. Basic management skills, including planning and organization, decision making, problem solving, and project management.
7. Advanced verbal communication skills, including group presentation.
8. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, supervisors, and employees.
9. Ability to prepare complex written reports and other documents.
10. Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions.

Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field.
5+ years related experience.
Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
