Inside Sales Representative
Job Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining customer relations while increasing sales through daily contact with distributors and OEMs for Standard Switches.
Essential Functions
- Daily proactive contact with existing customers including distributors and OEMs.
- Identify opportunities to grow sales with existing customers.
- Meet defined sales performance goals.
- Coordinate with production, shipping and logistics regarding delivery of customer orders.
- Maintain up to date customer records including contact, product information, customer profiles.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Act as resource for customers and their end users regarding product specifications, pricing, and availability.
- Order Entry
- Coordinate, follow up and track leads and samples
- Support outside sales as needed
- Track and confirm delivery of expedited and/or priority shipments.
- Report on customer activity.

- May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Experience interfacing with customers in a fast paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft including MS WORD, EXCEL, and other office tools such as email and internet browsers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to learn technical specifications to represent our products.
- Ability to learn SAP and other applications as needed. Experience with SAP preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and independently manage workload.
- Ability to work across departments of the organization in a team environment.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Business, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
1+ years related experience.
